Next season, handball fans can look forward to exciting matches in Podgorica as the EHF has confirmed that Buducnost Bemax will be one of the nine guaranteed participants in the Women’s Champions League.

A total of 19 clubs sought entry into this prestigious tournament. Aside from the Montenegrin team, clubs such as Esbjerg and Nikobing Falster (Denmark), Metz (France), Ludwigsburg (Germany), FTC (Hungary), Vipers (Norway), ĆSM Bucharest (Romania), and Crimea (Slovenia) have also received invites.

The fate of the remaining 10 clubs is pending the EHF’s announcement, which is expected on June 21. This will determine the final participants in the Champions League.

Clubs hoping for invitations include Podravka (Croatia), Odense (Denmark), Brest (France), Borussia Dortmund (Germany), Djerba and Debrecen (Hungary), Storhamar and Sola (Norway), as well as Rapid Bucharest and Gloria (Romania).

The Champions League competition format will remain unchanged for the upcoming season, featuring two groups with eight teams each. The future looks promising, as Buducnost has strengthened its roster with several top players.

This season, the blue jersey will be donned by Đurđinea Jauković, Jelena Despotović, Nina Bulatović, Valerija Kirdjaševa, Džena Karlsson, Aisatu Kujate, and Sakura Kametani.

The group stage draw is scheduled for June 27 in Vienna.
