Mornar has finally claimed victory in the AdmiralBet ABA League, defeating Krka 78:70 in the 25th round at “Topolica.”
This marks Baran’s second victory of the season in the regional league, following their initial win against Cibona in the 7th round. Currently, Krka and Cibona are the only teams that pose a threat to Mornar in the battle for survival. However, the challenge lies in the fact that Mihailo Pavićević’s squad is at a disadvantage in head-to-head results against both opponents.
Noa Tomason had an opportunity to secure a 13-point lead for Barani, surpassing the margin by which Mornar lost in Novo Mesto, but his three-point shot bounced off the rim. The guests capitalized on their free throws without any errors.
Roko Rogić stood out as Mornar’s top player, contributing 19 points along with six rebounds and assists. Lovre Runjić and Lovro Buljević each added 18 points, while Tomason closed out the game with 11 points.
For Krka, Miha Cerkvenik was the leading scorer with 17 points, while Tyler Persons contributed 14 points and eight assists.
As it stands, Krka and Cibona each have four wins, while Mornar remains at the bottom with two victories, and only one team will be relegated from the regional elite…
