This morning, traffic in Montenegro is flowing smoothly on dry roads; however, icy conditions are present in some northern areas due to recent snowfall and chilly temperatures, according to the Automobile and Motorcycle Association (AMSCG).
AMSCG has issued a warning about minor landslides and urged motorists to drive with caution.
Traffic is halted for all vehicles on the regional road from Đurđevića Tara to Mojkovac in Sokolovina due to a rockfall incident as part of ongoing rehabilitation efforts.
On the main M-2 road, vehicle movement is temporarily stopped between the Ribarevina – Poda and Poda-Berane sections from 11:14 AM to 4:30 PM, and again from 4:30 PM to 11:30 PM.
On the M-3 main road at the Zaborje-Jasenovo Polje section, traffic for all vehicles will be suspended from midnight to 1 PM and from 3 PM to 3:00 PM.
Due to reconstruction work on the regional R-29 Bar-Kamenicki most Krute road, traffic will be stopped from 11 AM to 1 PM and from 4 PM to 6 PM.
On the M-1 highway at the Krtolska intersection heading to Budva – Petrovac – Ulcinj, vehicles will alternate in circulation with intermittent stops, lasting no more than ten minutes, between 11 PM and 6 AM, due to maintenance activities in the Mogren, Belveder, and Kruče tunnels.
The traffic pattern has been adjusted from two-way to alternating on the Lepenac-Ribarevine main road due to reconstruction efforts, with potential traffic disruptions lasting no longer than 30 minutes at the work site.
On section Podgorica 3-Cetinje of the M-10 main road, traffic will shift from two-way to one-way due to the construction of the Cetinje-Čevo road, with potential delays of up to 15 minutes.
The traffic rules have also changed on the Nikšić-Vilusi main road, specifically on the Nikšić-Kuside section, as a result of Autobaza bridge reconstruction.
In the Sozina tunnel, vehicles will operate alternately from 10 PM to 6 AM due to repair work on cracks, and there may be complete traffic suspensions for brief periods.
On the road segment between the Raš Tunnel and the Sozina Tunnel Command Center, vehicles are navigating alternately as protective steel mesh is being installed.
Along the M-10 main road at the Cetinje – Budva section near Boreti, traffic has shifted from two-way to one-way.
AMSCG reminded drivers that per the Law on Road Traffic Safety, from November 15 to April 1, all vehicles traveling under winter conditions (i.e., snowfall or icy roads) must be equipped with winter tires on all wheels.
The minimum tread depth for tires during this period is four millimeters.
