Tobacco, Alcohol, Oil, and Nearly €20,000 Confiscated at Dračenovac Border Crossing; Serbian National Arrested

Law enforcement officials apprehended a 50-year-old Serbian citizen identified as AD at the Dračenovac border crossing. Authorities reported that he was found with a variety of prohibited items including tobacco, alcohol, oil, and cash.
On Sunday, customs officers and the Border Police in Rožaje carried out a thorough inspection of a Mercedes truck with Serbian registration, which was being driven by AD as he exited Montenegro.
According to police, a secret compartment in the cargo area of the truck revealed ten kilograms of cut tobacco, 35 bottles of assorted alcoholic beverages lacking excise stamps, valued at over 1.2 euros, and 80 liters of oil.
Additionally, authorities discovered and temporarily seized 19,735 euros in cash from AD, pending further investigations.
AD was arrested under the directive of the state prosecutor from the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Rožaje, on allegations of engaging in illicit trafficking.
According to the statement, “He will be presented with a criminal complaint today and brought before the relevant prosecutor for further action.”
