Montenegrin Handball Team Dominates Guinea
In today’s match, the Montenegrin women’s handball team clinched a victory against Guinea with a score of 43:30 during the second round of the U20 Women’s World Championship taking place in North Macedonia.
This marks the second win for the Montenegrin team in the championship, having previously triumphed over Uzbekistan at the tournament’s start with a score of 48:32.
All team members had the opportunity to play, with 11 athletes contributing to the scoreboard, and Jelena Vukčević leading with an impressive 13 goals.
Ivana Vujadinović also had a standout performance, scoring nine goals on the same number of attempts, while Marija Marsenić made an impressive 12 saves.
The crucial group stage match against Portugal will take place on Saturday at 11:15, which will determine the group winner.
Securing first place would give Montenegro a significant chance to aim for one of the top two spots in the newly established main round group, paving their way to a quarterfinal berth at the world tournament.
