During its meeting in Oslo, the Executive Board of the European Handball Federation (EHF) announced the teams receiving special invitations, finalizing the list of 16 contenders for the upcoming season’s Women’s Champions League.

The clubs awarded special invitations include Podravka (Croatia), Odense (Denmark), Brest (France), Djerba (Hungary), Storhamar (Norway), as well as Gloria and Rapid Bucharest (Romania).

It has been confirmed that Buducnost Bemaks will be among the nine guaranteed participants in the EHF Champions League.

Aside from Buducnost Bemaks, the confirmed teams include Esbjerg and Nikobing Falster (Denmark), Metz (France), Ludwigsburg (Germany), FTC (Hungary), Vipers (Norway), ĆSM Bucharest (Romania), and Krim (Slovenia).

The draw for the group stage is scheduled to occur on June 27 in Vienna.

The competition format for the EHF Champions League next season will remain the same: the preliminary phase will feature two groups of eight teams each. The first matches are set for September 7 and 8, 2024.
