Difficult Personalities and Unity: Let’s Keep This Momentum Going!
Buducnost continues to dominate, holding a substantial 12-point lead over Petrovac, who remains in second place.
All other teams are significantly trailing, with the reigning champion Dečić Admiralbet lagging even further behind at 26 points.
No changes have occurred at the top of the Meridianbet 1. CFL after today’s matches; the only variation is that one fewer round remains, and Buducnost inches closer to clinching the title.
It’s merely a matter of time and the eventual score difference…
Buducnost celebrated its fourth consecutive victory in the spring matches tonight, defeating Mornar 2:1 at the DG Arena.
“We managed to overcome a challenging match on a tough pitch against a formidable opponent, who particularly focused on defense in the first half. I believe we performed better overall and rightfully earned the win because we desired it more, despite facing two stoppages and having three good chances before we took the lead. We should have scored within the first 20-25 minutes,” stated Buducnost coach Ivan Brnović after the game.
Serikov scored with a header after halftime, Mornar equalized with a goal from Sekulić, but Ivanovic sealed the victory for Podgorica by netting a goal after former “blues” goalkeeper Pavličić saved Grbić’s penalty.
“Mornar equalized in the second half following a brilliant shot from Balša Sekulić; we conceded a goal, which made things difficult. However, we achieved an essential victory through determination and character, as the match was truly demanding. I congratulate the opponent on a competitive game, and I especially commend my players for displaying incredible character and unity that has been evident since the start of the season. I hope we can maintain this momentum,” Brnović remarked.
