Motion to Indict Former Mayor for Neglecting to Initiate Weapon Seizure Proceedings Against Borilović

The Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Cetinje has announced that an indictment has been filed with the Basic Court in the capital regarding the mass murder that occurred in the Medovina area in 2022. The indictment is against OK, the former head of the Cetinje Branch for Administrative and Internal Affairs, who was responsible for overseeing administrative proceedings, due to negligence in her duties.
On August 12, 2022, Cetinje local Vuk Borilović fatally shot ten individuals, including two children, and injured six others before being killed himself.
According to the prosecutor’s office, the allegations of negligence pertain to the “failure to initiate administrative procedures for the confiscation of firearms from an individual identified as VB from Cetinje, as mandated by the Law on Weapons.”
