Four Individuals Charged with Poaching at Lake Skadar
Four individuals faced legal action for engaging in illegal fishing activities as part of a collaborative initiative between the Skadar Lake National Park Protection Service supervisors and the Border and Navigation Unit of the Police Directorate in the Božaj area.
Two misdemeanor orders, each totaling 500 euros, were issued by the fisheries inspector.
The authorities temporarily seized several items associated with illegal fishing, including two boats, two outboard motors, two paddles, two converters, three batteries, two lamps, and additional equipment, according to a statement from the National Parks of Montenegro.
The statement emphasized, “Our commitment to cooperation and joint efforts in the field is yielding positive outcomes in the fight against poaching. Skadar Lake NP remains resolute in prosecuting every offender before the appropriate authorities.”
