Budva to Host the Montenegrin Cup Final Matches

Tomorrow in Budva, the finals of the Montenegrin Cup for both men and women will take place, featuring Herceg Novi against Luka Bar in the women’s category and Budva facing Budućnost in the men’s category for the championship trophies.

The match between Herceg Novi and Luka Bar will be for the Cup trophy, which the Novi team will aim to defend for the second consecutive season.

They previously secured the title during the 2022/23 season.

This season, the top teams from the championship, aside from the EPCG Superleague, also faced off in the inaugural edition of the Montenegrin Supercup.

Luka Bar last lifted the Cup trophy in 2017, marking their seventh victory in this esteemed tournament.

Since then, they have reached the finals five times.

The women’s final is set for 16:00.

In the men’s category, Budva and Budućnost Volley will clash in the fourth Cup final in the past five years, starting two and a half hours later.

This season, Budva has remained unbeaten in sets across all competitions, with their primary rival on every front being Budućnost, their opponent for the upcoming EPCG Super League final.

For the first time in Montenegrin club volleyball history, teams will have a challenge available.

The 2025 Montenegrin Cup Finals will be graced by numerous distinguished guests from the volleyball community across Europe and the region, including CEV President Roko Sikirić.
