In today’s La Liga match at home, Real Madrid triumphed over Rayo Vallecano with a score of 2:1, allowing them to equal points with Barcelona at the top of the table.
Both teams now sit at 57 points; however, Barcelona has a game in hand. Atlético Madrid trails by one point after losing to Getafe 2:1 earlier today.
The home side almost took the lead in the 15th minute when Vinicius Batalho hit the post with his shot.
Half an hour into the match, the home team broke the deadlock—Mbappe linked up with Vinicius, entered the penalty area, and scored.
Just four minutes later, Vinicius extended their lead with a brilliant solo effort.
The final goal of the match came in the second minute of stoppage time in the first half, as Pedro Díaz finished a well-executed team move to reduce the deficit for Real.
This victory serves as a positive momentum boost for the Madrid side ahead of their upcoming Champions League round of 16 tie against Atlético, set for Wednesday.
