“Sharks Triumph Over Serbia in Šabac”

The Montenegro water polo national team concluded the third day of the tournament in Šabac with a win.
After a morning loss to Australia (13:11), Vladimir Gojković’s squad bounced back, triumphing over Serbia by five points with a final score of 18:17 (3:1, 2:3, 5:5, 4:5, 4:3).
The “Sharks” surged into the match strongly, with Miroslav Perković, Bogdan Đurđić, and Konstantin Averka contributing to a 3:1 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Montenegro maintained leads of 4:1 and 5:2, but Serbia mounted a comeback, scoring four consecutive goals at the start of the third quarter.
Bogdan Đurđić stood out as the top scorer with five goals, while Đuro Radović contributed four. Miroslav Perković and Dušan Matković each added two goals, and Stefan Vidović, Konstantin Averka, Vlado Popadić, Aljoša Mačić, and Marko Mršić each scored once.
Earlier in the tournament, Montenegro had victories against Romania (10:6) and Germany (14:7), and they will wrap up the tournament with a match against France on Sunday at 17:15.
