ŽRK Budućnost Loses Its General Sponsor
The “Bemax” company has concluded its sponsorship of the Budućnost Bemax Women’s Handball Club after serving as the general sponsor for three seasons, as announced by the club from Podgorica, a two-time European champion.
“Since the start of the 2021/22 season, one of Montenegro’s most successful companies has played a crucial role in the operations of the most decorated Montenegrin club, which was facing significant financial challenges three years ago at the onset of our partnership,” the statement from Budućnost reveals.
The press release highlights that “Bemax” is exiting the sponsorship arrangement with ŽRK Budućnost following the financial recovery of the club. This decision comes at a time when all past obligations have been fulfilled and the roster for the upcoming 2024/25 season has been finalized, with the ambition for the “blues” to once again compete effectively in the EHF Champions League.
“For us, as a socially responsible company that supports sports on both an individual basis and through clubs and national associations, being the general sponsor of an esteemed organization like ŽRK Budućnost over the past three seasons has been an honor. We have addressed the financial issues that were piled up, assisted in building the team for the upcoming season, and ensured the club is left without any outstanding liabilities from previous seasons, including the recently concluded 2023/24. We are confident that the club will soon secure a new sponsor and will continue to serve as a leading representative of Montenegrin handball and sports on the global stage,” remarked the company “Bemax.”
