Ibrahimović Meets with Newly Appointed Swiss Ambassador Lugon-Moulin
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, Mr. Ervin Ibrahimović, held a meeting today in Podgorica with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Montenegro, on a non-resident basis, Anne Lugon-Moulin.
The Minister expressed his pleasure regarding the cordial relations between Montenegro and Switzerland, wishing the Ambassador a fruitful tenure. He is confident that the two nations will continue to strengthen their cooperation across various fields of mutual interest. He noted that the establishment of Montenegro’s diplomatic and consular representation in Bern will greatly enhance these efforts.
He also highlighted the steps taken by Montenegro towards European integration, remarking that the progress made in the reform process boosts the overall development and prosperity of the country. Furthermore, the Minister pointed out the significant potential for sustained dynamic cooperation in the economic domain, especially since Switzerland ranks among the foremost foreign investors in Montenegro.
Ambassador Lugon-Moulin remarked that the deepening of economic ties is a clear indicator of the strong bilateral relations between the two nations. She confirmed Switzerland’s ongoing support for Montenegro’s European aspirations and stressed the importance of the EU enlargement process, not only for Montenegro but also for the stability and prosperity of the region and Europe as a whole.
The discussion also touched on current regional and global challenges, along with strategies to boost cooperation on a multilateral basis.
