Vučić Requests Students Opposing the Blockades to Avoid Pioneer Park This Saturday

President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has urged students who are opposing the blockades to avoid Pioneer Park on Saturday and instead return home, suggesting they come back the following day.

During a meeting with a student delegation at the Presidency, he expressed his gratitude for their cooperation but also assured them that the government would make every effort to ensure their safety if they chose to remain in the park.

“Should you decide to stay, we will endeavor to protect that area. However, I cannot guarantee that there won’t be incidents such as stones being thrown or cannons being fired,” Vučić remarked.

The students participating in the blockade have announced their plans to stage a protest at the Serbian Parliament on Saturday, inviting citizens to join them. Several state officials have indicated that they anticipate potential clashes and violence on the streets that day.
