Olivera Injac, the Mayor of Podgorica, and Jelena Borovinić-Bojović, the President of the Capital Assembly, engaged in discussions with Maja Bulatović, the executive director of ŽRK Budućnost, regarding the challenging situation the club is facing following the departure of its primary sponsor.
Buducnost lost its general sponsor on July 1, as the company “Bemax” severed ties with the club.
In an interview with “Dan,” Maja Bulatović mentioned that the club is on the verge of closure. Consequently, Luka Rakčević, the deputy mayor of Podgorica, pledged that the capital city would do everything in its power to help Budućnost navigate this critical period in its recent history.
According to an official statement released on the Capital City website, “As mentioned during the meeting, the club’s situation is quite severe, and finding a solution is proving to be challenging. However, the Capital City will carefully explore all options in the coming days.”
The meeting also included Deputy Mayor Luka Rakčević and Balša Špadijer, the Secretary of the Secretariat for Financial Operations and Budget Analysis.
