Recently, Montenegrin footballer Milutin Osmajić garnered attention on the Island when Burnley player Hannibal Mežbri accused him of racism. Osmajić has denied these allegations, stating they are unfounded.

The situation is still under investigation by the FA, and should Osmajić be found guilty, he could face a suspension of at least six matches.

Despite the controversy, Osmajić continues to perform well on the pitch. Today, he played a fantastic match against Burnley, scoring a goal and leading Preston to their first FA Cup quarter-final in nearly 60 years. Preston won the match 3-0.

Osmajić found the back of the net in the 44th minute after receiving a pass from Potts, cleverly avoiding the offside trap and finishing past Hladko for a 2-0 lead. The Montenegrin international celebrated his goal in front of the traveling supporters.

Prior to the game, Osmajić was snubbed as Burnley players chose not to shake his hand. Conversely, Mežbri did not participate, as Burnley’s manager Scott Parker decided to exclude him to prevent distractions stemming from the recent events.

The home side initially took the lead with a goal from Brady, but Keane later sealed the game’s final score.

Osmajić exited the match in the 84th minute to a standing ovation, with many waving Montenegrin flags in the stands.

Meanwhile, Stefan Mugoša continued his scoring form, netting a goal in Incheon’s 2-0 win over Suwon in the second round of K League 2, South Korea’s second division.

This was Mugoša’s second goal of the season, following his earlier score against Geongam.

With two wins from two matches, Incheon is aiming for a quick return to the top flight.

Despite Incheon’s relegation from the first league for the first time, Mugoša has opted to stay with the team.
