Atalanta’s Home Struggles Continue in Bergamo

Atalanta is in the running for the Scudetto, as the standings indicate, but they won’t fully believe in this historic achievement until they secure a victory at home.

Known as “The Goddess,” Atalanta ended up in a goalless draw against Venice (0-0) in the 0th round, marking the fifth consecutive match where they were unable to win on their home turf—a lost opportunity for them to lead the table, even if just for the day.

During this streak, Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad recorded four draws (including today’s tie with Juventus and matches against Torino and Cagliari) and suffered a defeat against Napoli…

Atalanta’s last home victory in Bergamo was back on December 22nd, when they triumphed over Empoli.

In the matchup against Venice, Atalanta generated several excellent chances, but Venice had their opportunities too and, in the end, seemed to be closer to claiming the win.
