Ongoing Commitment to the Future of Montenegrin Volleyball

The Volleyball Federation of Montenegro, in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, is committed to nurturing young talent by entering into scholarship agreements with eight promising volleyball players.

At the OSCG premises, four gifted volleyball players signed contracts for 2025: Lana Rakočević from Budućnost, who is a senior national team member and widely regarded as the most promising player of 2024; her teammate Nađa Peković, the top technician from the U16 Balkan Championship; as well as Anastasija Bogojević, a middle blocker from Morača, and Matea Kovačec, a corrector for Gimnazijalac.

Among the scholarship recipients are rising talents such as Luka Lojić from Budućnost, recognized as the most promising volleyball player in Montenegro for 2024; his fellow Budućnost player Luka Milošević, who plays in the technician position; Vasilije Milenković, a serve receiver from Budva; and Vukota Čelebić, noted as the best middle blocker at the “Winter Cup of Nations” in Pordenone, also hailing from Budva.

The scholarship contracts were signed by Nikola Kažić, the president of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro, reinforcing the commitment to the future of Montenegrin volleyball.

“Within the premises of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro, we signed contracts with eight OSCG scholarship holders for 2025. These four young women and four young men represent the future of Montenegrin volleyball. Today, they received recognition for their hard work throughout the year, both in their national team jersey and their club colors. We take pride in the numerous talented boys and girls who deserve this scholarship, and I believe that in time, they will all have their chance, provided they continue to put in the effort. This acknowledgment is also a nod to the clubs and coaches for their relentless support, as well as to all the selectors in national team selections. I am confident that these girls and boys will persevere and contribute to the prosperity of Montenegrin volleyball,” stated Nikola Kažić, president of the OSCG.

“I feel incredibly honored to be among the eight promising volleyball players. I want to express my gratitude to the Federation for recognizing my dedication and efforts, as well as to my teammates and coaches, without whom this achievement would not be possible,” remarked Anastasija Bogojević from Morača.

“I am thrilled to be one of the eight volleyball players awarded this scholarship, and I wish to thank the Federation and the club for providing me with this opportunity,” added Luka Milošević from Budućnost.
