Furkan Korkmaz Joins Radonjić
Former Monaco basketball player Furkan Korkmaz has officially joined Turkish Bahçeşehir today.
“We are thrilled to announce that we have reached an agreement with our national team member Furkan Korkmaz, who previously played for Monaco in the Euroleague and proudly represented Philadelphia in the NBA from 2017 to 2024. Welcome to the Furk family!” Bahçeşehir shared in a post on the social platform X.
The news outlet “Basket News” indicated that Korkmaz’s contract is effective until the end of the current season.
Korkmaz signed with Monaco earlier this summer after a seven-year stint in the NBA with Philadelphia, but he parted ways with the Principality club this Thursday after participating in only three Euroleague games.
Bahçeşehir, coached by former Red Star head coach Dejan Radonjić and managed by former Serbian national player Nemanja Bjelica, currently leads Group A of the Eurocup with a record of 10 wins and 2 losses.
The Turkish club also features Montenegrin representative Marko Simonović in its roster.
