CALL FOR APPLICATIONS – WESTERN BALKAN CYBER CAMP
The National Cybersecurity Authority (AKSK) of Albania is hosting the Western Balkans Cyber Camp. This exciting event is scheduled for May 16 to 18, 2025, at the Flower Hotel located in Golem, Durrës. The camp aims to unite young people, academic representatives, and national Computer Security Incident Response Teams from six economies within the Western Balkans region. Our objective is to establish a regional network of emerging cybersecurity professionals who can collaborate and bolster each other’s efforts, ultimately improving the cybersecurity resilience of our region for the future.
This event will focus on advancing the knowledge of young individuals interested in the fields of cybersecurity and/or ICT. The program will address key topics such as cyber hygiene, governance, and various cybersecurity threats. Furthermore, participants will have the opportunity to participate in realistic simulations using the Cyber Drill platform.
Who can apply?
Students aged 18 to 22 who are pursuing studies in Cybersecurity, IT, or ICT and possess a keen interest in cybersecurity are invited to apply. After reviewing the applications, eight candidates from each Western Balkans economy will be chosen. The organizers will cover costs for accommodation and transportation. At the conclusion of the Western Balkans Cyber Camp, all participants will receive certificates. Proficiency in English is a prerequisite, as the training sessions will be conducted in English.
This event is dedicated to promoting gender balance throughout the application process to foster a diverse and inclusive atmosphere.
