French basketball player Mathias Lessor has renewed his contract with the Greek team Panathinaikos, as reported by Euroleague today.

Lessor, whose contract with the Athens-based club was set to expire this summer, has committed to another three years.

The French center recently suffered a serious injury by breaking his fibula during a Euroleague game, which will keep him out of action for several months.

Prior to his injury, Lessor averaged 17 points and 13.6 rebounds per game across 7.1 games played in the Euroleague.

He was part of the team that won the Euroleague title last season and joined Panathinaikos after leaving Partizan Belgrade.
