Multiple City Searches Uncover Weapons and Drugs; One Arrest Made

Authorities conducted searches at 14 sites across southern Montenegro, resulting in the inspection of 14 individuals, alongside the discovery of narcotics and firearms. One individual was arrested, leading to the filing of both criminal and misdemeanor charges.
The Police Directorate stated that “enhanced enforcement actions were undertaken in the southern region to monitor individuals of operational interest, uncover and counter criminal activities related to drug misuse, deter violence, and elevate security levels.”
The Tivat police have apprehended AS (36) on suspicions of committing a criminal act involving the unauthorized production, possession, and distribution of narcotics.
According to the statement, “Officers from the Tivat Security Department, following a court mandate, searched the residence and other areas utilized by AS (36) and uncovered four PVC bags containing a white powdery substance resembling cocaine, three PVC bags containing a green substance akin to marijuana, one handmade cigarette, a precise measurement scale, and cash totaling 1,540 euros.”
AS will be presented at the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica.
In Bar, the police executed searches at three locations in accordance with court orders. During this operation, EB and two individuals of operational interest, NP and IM, were examined.
The police reported, “During the inspection of IM, a ČZ Shadow pistol, HS H11 pistol, and a ČZ Scorpion semi-automatic pistol were discovered and confiscated, with the individual possessing a valid weapons license. The firearms were seized to commence suitable administrative procedures.”
In Kotor, searches were carried out at three different locations including the apartments of VB (22), NP (44), and D.Đ. (58), with no illegal items discovered.
Recently, five locations in Herceg Novi were searched, resulting in the recovery of unlawfully possessed pistols and ammunition.
The Herceg Novi Security Department reported, “Officers conducted searches at two sites in Kamenari, at the residence of an individual of operational interest, IV, and at the residence of BB. A Zoraki brand starter pistol with two frames was found at BB’s residence, lacking proper documentation. A misdemeanor charge was filed against BB under the Law on Weapons.”
In Ulcinj, searches were conducted at two locations, specifically at the residences of individuals of operational interest, EN (27) and HB (27). No “items of interest to the service” were discovered.
