Tatjana Jeraminok’s Lionesses Start World Cup in China with a Win

The Montenegrin women’s handball team began its journey at the World Championship for players under 18 in China with a win.
Under the guidance of coach Tatjana Jeraminok, the team triumphed over Angola in their opening match of Group B today, with a score of 26:16. The match was balanced until the 17th minute (7:7), after which Montenegro gained a lead of 10:7 by the 21st minute, thanks to goals from Nina Ramusović, Sanja Andrijašević, and Maja Ceklić. At halftime, the lead had extended to four goals at 14:10. The Montenegrin players started the second half strong, and after scoring from Elena Mitrović, Bojana Peličić, and Ramusović, they increased their advantage to 17:10 in the 35th minute, setting the stage for victory. A total of ten players from the Montenegrin team contributed to the scoreboard, with Ramusović being the top scorer with seven goals and Mitrović netting five. Goalkeeper Teodora Roncevic achieved six saves. Their next challenge at the World Cup will be against Nigeria tomorrow at eight o’clock local time.
