The Choice I Made After Much Contemplation Wasn’t Easy.
Leon Đokaj, a senior figure in the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), has declared that he is no longer affiliated with the party as of yesterday.
“This decision was not made lightly; it came after extensive consideration, and I reaffirmed its correctness tonight,” Đokaj shared on his X account.
During the election of a new DPS Presidency last night, notable figures such as former Minister of Justice Zoran Pažin, ex-leader of Bijelo Polje Aleksandar Žurić, former Minister of Defense Predrag Bošković, MP Nikola Janović, Professor Draško Došljak, and Đokaj himself were not included.
“I want to take this moment to express my gratitude to all my former colleagues for our collaboration thus far and wish them great success in both their personal and professional endeavors. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as a member of the Presidency and as the coordinator for the Ulcinj and Gusinje Municipalities for almost four years,” Đokaj stated.
