According to “Vijesti,” Minister of Interior Danilo Šaranović has decided not to renew the acting director’s term for the Border Police Sector, Milutin Vasiljević.
Dejan Bojić, a seasoned leader in the border police, has been appointed to take over the acting role for the next six months.
Additionally, the mandate for Dragan Gorović, who has been the Assistant Director for the General Jurisdiction Police Sector since summer 2021, has been extended for another six months.
Vasiljević will transition to a position as an advisor to the police director on matters of border and cross-border cooperation.
Previously, Vasiljević served as the Assistant Director of the Border Police Sector for over a year and was a contender for the Acting Director position of the Border Police Department last year in response to a public call from the Ministry of the Interior.
In the Police Administration, the acting role was assigned before New Year’s to Miloš Peković, the Assistant Director of the Sector for the Security of Persons and Facilities, while Velimir Furtula has taken over as Head of the Sector for the Fight against Crime.
Only Aleksandar Radović, the Assistant Director of the Financial Intelligence Sector, currently holds a full mandate in his role.
