The Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica has authorized an investigation into Marko Kilibarda regarding the 2018 murder of Vaso Delibasic in Bar.

The Prosecutor’s Office’s statement reads, “An order has been issued by the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica to investigate MK for the aggravated murder that occurred in Bar on June 28, 2018, affecting VD. This prosecutor’s office will undertake all necessary measures and actions to clarify the incident, after which a decision will be made on the case.”

During a press conference in July of the previous year, the then-acting head of the Police Directorate, Aleksandar Radović, announced that the murder had been solved and identified MK as one of the perpetrators.

At that time, Lazar Šćepanović, who was then the head of the Crime Prevention Sector and is now the acting director of the Police Directorate, stated that this murder, along with another in the Stanjevića rupa area of Spuž, were committed by members of an organized criminal group, with MK implicated in Delibasic’s murder.

Vaso Delibasic was killed on June 28, 2018, in the Macedonian neighborhood of Bar.

Immediately following the attack, authorities discovered a burning Audi in the Bjeliši neighborhood, believed to have been used in the crime.

Delibasic was regarded as a member of the criminal organization led by the late Luka Đurović.
