DPM Zogović Holds Discussions with Representatives from France’s Largest Employers’ Federation, MEDEF

The Deputy Prime Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Milun Zogović, convened today with members of MEDEF, the largest network of French companies. The meeting was led by Philippe Gautier, CEO of MEDEF International, along with the French Ambassador to Montenegro, Anne-Marie Maskay.

Opening the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Zogović conveyed his pleasure in welcoming representatives from some of France’s most prosperous enterprises. He underscored Montenegro’s dedication to fortifying its relationship with France while fostering new business and investment avenues.

It is a privilege to engage with French entrepreneurs across various vital sectors, including energy efficiency, wastewater treatment, construction, aviation, rail transport, banking, and consulting. Each of these fields is essential to our goal of developing a sustainable and competitive economic framework. French firms are encouraged to establish a presence in Montenegro, as their involvement not only enriches the economic landscape but also delivers a strong signal of stability and an attractive investment atmosphere. Presently, the construction sector is witnessing notable growth, and we are wholly committed to advancing modern and eco-friendly infrastructure solutions. Through our substantial infrastructure initiatives, we aim to elevate the quality of life in diverse regions and encourage balanced regional progress. I am delighted to report that we have already made significant strides in enhancing the business environment, as evidenced by improved access to financing and a favorable investment climate across all sectors. Our unwavering commitment to regional development, energy efficiency, innovation within the construction sector, and infrastructure enhancement remains strong. Together, we can pursue new opportunities for both markets and establish enduring cooperation, he stated.

In his remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Zogović emphasized Montenegro’s pride in being recognized as a stable hub for foreign investment. He acknowledged France as one of Montenegro’s key partners in the European Union integration process and expressed optimism for expanding collaboration in the future, especially in sectors crucial for economic development.
