Vušurović Appointed Acting Director of the Newly Founded “Stadium and Sports Facilities Cetinje”

Renowned Montenegrin volleyball player Igor Vušurović has been appointed as the acting director of the newly formed company “Stadium and Sports Facilities Cetinje”, according to an announcement from the Royal Capital of Cetinje.
“Due to his remarkable sports achievements, Vušurović has earned the title of top athlete of Montenegro. He holds the Order of the FRY and the Republic of Italy. Over the past four years, he has served as the Secretary General of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee. Additionally, he has been the Director of the Youth and Sports Administration, the Executive Director of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro, the Director of the Games of the Small Countries of Europe, the founder and director of DOO Volley4 me, and a board member of the MOC,” the statement reads.
The Royal Capital of Cetinje remarked that Vušurović’s appointment is a significant advancement in enhancing sports infrastructure and developing sports within the city.
“As a former elite athlete with a wealth of experience in managing sports organizations, Vušurović is set to play a crucial role in the organization of sports facilities in Cetinje and in fostering improved conditions for athletes of all ages,” stated the Royal Capital of Cetinje.
As a member of the Yugoslav national volleyball team, Vušurović achieved significant success, winning silver, bronze, and gold medals at the European Championships in 1997, 1999, and 2001, respectively, along with a gold medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics and a silver medal at the 1998 World Championships.
