Enes Dušku, a member of the Montenegrin taekwondo national team, achieved a fifth-place finish at the European Youth Championships in Olympic categories.
The athlete from the Ulcinj Taekwondo Club competed last night in Bucharest within the under 73 kilogram category, securing victories against representatives from Romania (2:0) and Moldova (2:1) in the initial rounds of a tightly contested match.
His quest for a medal ended in a 2:0 loss to the Ukrainian national team.
“Although that defeat halted his chance for a medal, his effort and placement among the top five in Europe signify a remarkable achievement for the Montenegrin team. The championship in Bucharest showcased a highly competitive environment, and Dušku demonstrated through his performances that he can contend with the best in Europe,” remarked his coach, Fikret Dušku.
