Liverpool Without Slot for Upcoming Two Matches
Liverpool’s football manager, Arne Slott, has been handed a two-match suspension today due to inappropriate behavior following the recent match against Everton.
Slott acknowledged his improper conduct towards both the referee and the assistant referee after the clash with Everton, resulting in a suspension and a £70 fine, as reported by the Football Association (FA).
The encounter between Everton and Liverpool, which took place on February 12, ended in a 2–2 draw, featuring a late equalizer from Everton’s defender James Tarkowski in the eighth minute of stoppage time. Following the game, Slott was dismissed, alongside Liverpool’s Curtis Jones and Everton’s Abdoulaye Doucoure.
Additionally, Liverpool’s assistant coach, Sipke Hulshof, received a two-match suspension and a £7,000 fine for misconduct.
Both Everton and Liverpool were fined for failing to maintain conduct standards among their players and coaching staff after the match. Everton, as the host team, faced a £65 fine, while Liverpool was fined £50.
Currently sitting atop the Premier League with 64 points, Liverpool’s next two fixtures in the competition will see them face Newcastle and Southampton at home.
