The Chamber of Commerce (PKCG) hosted the European Enterprise Network (EEN) Info Day today, aiming to inform entrepreneurs about the support available for business internationalization, innovation enhancement, and boosting competitiveness in both European and global markets.

Representatives from various economic sectors, including small and medium-sized enterprises, innovative startups, the academic community, and institutions dedicated to business development in Montenegro, attended the event. They gained insights into the resources offered by EEN and learned how to leverage these resources for their business growth.

Tanja Radusinović, Director of the Project Sector of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Montenegro, emphasized the significance of this project, highlighting that the Chamber has been engaged since 2008, when EEN was first established at the European level.

“In collaboration with the Ministry of Regional and Investment Development, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Montenegro, and the Business Start-up Center from Bar, PKCG has developed a new website for the consortium. This tool allows the Montenegrin economy to access a database of around five thousand companies offering various forms of collaboration, including trade and new services,” Radusinović stated.

Independent advisor Jelena Adžić discussed the EEN services provided by the Chamber, which focus on helping businesses internationalize.

“European projects are a potent instrument for company internationalization, and the EEN network is crucial in this process, serving as a key EU tool to enhance the competitiveness of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises,” noted Adžić.

Ana Filipović, another Independent Advisor in the Projects Sector, introduced the Business Cooperation Database and highlighted the advantages it offers to entrepreneurs.

She urged participants to consider creating user profiles, essential for ensuring their collaboration offerings and requests are visible within the database and across the EEN network.

The presentation of the portal www.monteenegro.me was a focal point of the Info Day. This platform promotes EEN’s services, facilitates company networking, and provides access to vital business information and resources. Maja Rašković, an advisor in the Marketing Sector, elaborated on this initiative.

She pointed out the site’s user-friendly functionality, enabling straightforward access to all necessary information at both the national and EEN network levels.

Rašković guided attendees through the key features of the new site, concluding that it will significantly help Montenegrin entrepreneurs connect with partners throughout Europe and enhance their visibility internationally.

Professor Aleksandar Vujović from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Montenegro shared the consortium’s extensive activities over the past 15 years, which have facilitated technological development and innovation collaboration among numerous companies.

“I want to emphasize the exceptional opportunity provided by the EEN through the EENergy call, which will be announced for the third time. This project offers entrepreneurs a grant of ten thousand EUR if they demonstrate a five percent reduction in electricity consumption via new equipment or reorganization,” Vujović remarked, encouraging interested parties to seize this opportunity when it becomes available once again.

During the event, examples of successful practices were demonstrated, showcasing how businesses can effectively leverage EEN membership benefits. Attendees expressed significant interest in exploring connections through the EEN.

“The Info Day reaffirmed the critical role of international cooperation and networking in strengthening the Montenegrin economy. The portal www.monteenegro.me will enhance connectivity and information access for Montenegrin entrepreneurs,” the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Montenegro stated.

As reported by its representatives, the Chamber will continue to actively promote and enhance the business environment through similar initiatives, providing entrepreneurs with access to new markets, innovative solutions, and essential business development tools.
