On Monday, the pre-qualification tender for selecting contractors for the construction of the Mateševo – Andrijevica highway section was officially canceled.

This information has been confirmed to “Vijesti” by two sources knowledgeable about the situation.

A tender for the main works is anticipated to be announced, allowing companies that did not participate in the pre-qualification tender to apply.

The pre-qualification tender was issued in accordance with the guidelines of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), which also lists the cancellation notice on its portal.

Recently, the Government informed “Vijesti” that a new tender for the primary construction works is expected to be announced by the end of February.

The EU and EBRD, as confirmed by “Vijesti”, previously requested the Government to cancel the pre-qualification tender in favor of a main tender that would allow all companies to apply, including those that did not qualify in the pre-qualification phase.
