Red Cross Volunteers and Day Care Center Attendees Spread Joy Among Nikšić Residents
This year, volunteers from the Nikšić Red Cross made sure to celebrate Women’s Day by treating local residents with thoughtful gifts. They collaborated with young members of the Day Center for Children with Developmental Disabilities, creating a lively scene in the city square filled with red uniforms.
“The Youngsters’ Club began preparing gifts for 120 individuals in the ‘Help at Home’ program two months in advance. Around 20 children, aged three to twelve, crafted baskets adorned with flowers and personalized greeting cards. Alongside the elderly caregivers and members of the Club for the Elderly, who are part of our organization, they visited the beneficiaries and spread joy,” shared Ana Macanović, secretary of the Nikšić Red Cross, in an interview with “Vijesti”.
Members of the Youth Club also organized chocolate bars to be handed out to women, and together with the participants from the Day Care Center, they packaged and distributed teas as gifts.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to the owner of ‘Jasmil’ for generously providing gifts for our diligent housewives. There are truly numerous reasons to feel proud and fulfilled,” Macanović emphasized.
