Budva Resident Faces Misdemeanor Charges for Driving Through Pedestrian Tunnel Between Bečići and Budva

Following observations on social media and active fieldwork, officials from the Budva Security Department successfully identified a 24-year-old named SV from Budva. On February 26 at 17:48, he drove a Nissan vehicle through a pedestrian-only tunnel connecting Bečići and Budva.
This information was confirmed to Vijesti by the Budva police.
“Information was gathered from the driver, and the state prosecutor in Kotor was notified. They concluded that the driver’s actions did not constitute any criminal offense. Consequently, a misdemeanor report was filed against him under the Road Traffic Safety Act,” a representative from Vijesti stated.
The Police Directorate made an official statement urging all road users, particularly young drivers, to comply with traffic regulations, safeguard against accidents, and ensure their own safety as well as that of other road users through responsible actions.
