Missing Two-Year-Old Girl Found in Ub
Dunja Marković, a two-year-old girl who went missing yesterday in Ub, Serbia, has been located, according to RTS.
The child was last seen near the outskirts of Ub, as captured by surveillance cameras situated on various buildings.
Ivica Dačić, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Serbia, confirmed that the missing girl from Ub has been found safe, alert, and taken to the hospital for a medical assessment.
“The little girl Dunja, who was reported missing yesterday in Ub, has been discovered alert and in good condition, and she has been taken to the hospital for evaluation. She was located approximately two to three kilometers from her home. This is undoubtedly a positive outcome to the search. While the details surrounding the incident will be investigated, the most crucial part is that Dunja is safe and will be reunited with her family,” stated Dačić.
At one point, she had wandered away from the other children she was playing with and ventured into a field. The parents were not supervising the children at the time, and they alerted the authorities about her disappearance upon returning home and realizing she was missing.
The search area was combed thoroughly throughout the night—conducting searches multiple times within a three-kilometer radius using thermal imaging equipment, and the latest technology, alongside sniffer dogs, played a role in the search efforts.
