NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is set to visit Kosovo on March 11th, marking his first official trip since taking office, as reported by Radio Free Europe citing diplomatic sources.

Prior to his Kosovo visit, Rutte will be in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) on March 10th.

It is anticipated that ambassadors from NATO member states will accompany him during his visit to Kosovo.

As of now, NATO has not made an official announcement regarding this visit; however, Mark Rutte has confirmed his intention to travel to Kosovo in March.

The Secretary General stated in Bratislava recently that ensuring stability in Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia is integral to everyone’s interests. He expressed confidence that there would be no significant changes concerning America’s commitment to NATO, according to RFE/RL.

The delegation led by the Secretary General will also visit the NATO-led KFOR mission, which currently has approximately 4,700 troops deployed. Italy contributes the largest contingent with 1,250 personnel, while the United States has around 600 troops involved in this mission.
