The telecommunications company MTEL has become the new primary sponsor of the water polo club Jadran from Herceg Novi. Following the signed agreement, the club will compete and appear publicly under the name JADRAN m:tel for the foreseeable future.
The contract signing took place at the club’s headquarters, with MTEL’s CEO Zoran Milovanović and PVK Jadran’s president Boro Lučić in attendance.
Zoran Milovanović, the director of the leading telecommunications company in Montenegro, highlighted the significance of this partnership between MTEL and the Jadran club for the community at large.
– Today’s contract signing marks the beginning of a collaboration, partnership, and most importantly, a friendship. Through this agreement, we aim to demonstrate our awareness of how essential sports are to society. Even though we are surrounded by an uncountable amount of trophies, I am confident that we will have numerous reasons to celebrate and rejoice in the near future. I hope for us to achieve new victories together. Wishing you great success, trophies, and joy in sports – stated Milovanović.
The support from MTEL is crucial for Jadran, providing the team with additional motivation not just in the regional league but also at a higher competitive level, according to club president Boro Lučić.
– It is both an honor and a pleasure for PVK Jadran from Herceg Novi to finally have a general sponsor after a long wait, and I believe we have partnered with the best possible team – MTEL. I am confident that this partnership will bring joy to both parties. With this support, we aim first to reclaim the title for Škver, and subsequently to build a stronger and more dynamic team that will compete at both regional and European levels. I am thrilled that M:TEL, as a strong and reputable company, has recognized Jadran as one of Montenegro’s top sports brands. I believe that M:TEL will also gain our support to secure as many trophies as possible in its endeavors and represent Montenegro on the international stage – Lučić emphasized.
In a gesture of appreciation, Lučić presented MTEL’s executive director, Zoran Milovanović, with a new branded club shirt and a ball signed by the players.
