The upcoming home match in 2025 marks the first official game against a team competing in its inaugural season in the AdmiralBet ABA League.

Buducnost Volija’s basketball squad is set to face Dubai, aiming to share the top position in the standings with Partizan and Red Star, even after the 15th round of the regional league.

The clash against the well-established team from the United Arab Emirates will take place tomorrow (Sunday) at “Morača,” starting at 19:00.

“It’s clear that we are up against a very skilled team featuring former NBA and Euroleague players, which highlights their quality. To secure a win, our energy and focus need to be on point,” said Fletcher, the sharpshooter for the Future.

The team coached by Andrej Žakelj is on an impressive run in the ABA league, having secured five consecutive victories. Conversely, Dubai is also closely trailing the top teams, having lost only a few and winning their last four matches.

“We’re facing a challenging opponent with a diverse and capable roster, as well as a coach (Jurica Golemac) who excels at what he does, and whom I am well-acquainted with,” noted Coach Žakelj of the “blue and white” squad.

The match against Dubai follows a thrilling victory against FMP in Železnik, as well as a straightforward win in the Eurocup against Trefl Sopot.

“After traveling and competing in Poland, we must focus on recovery and our training as we prepare for this matchup,” emphasized Žakelj.
