Five Individuals Charged with Drug Abuse Offenses

Podgorica’s law enforcement officials have processed five individuals and have filed three criminal charges along with one misdemeanor for drug-related offenses, as announced by the Police Directorate.
According to the report, 24 individuals were surveyed in the past 13 hours as part of a coordinated initiative aimed at detecting and curbing illicit drug activities.
The Police Directorate indicated that during a check of PV (38), a joint was discovered, leading to a misdemeanor charge under the Drug Abuse Prevention Act.
Furthermore, during inspections of two other individuals, homemade cigarettes containing marijuana were also seized.
“Following the instructions of the acting prosecutor and after conducting a criminal inquiry, officers lodged a criminal complaint against M.Đ. (41) on suspicion of permitting others to partake in narcotic drug use, while a misdemeanor complaint was filed against PG (22) under the Law on the Prevention of Drug Abuse,” the statement noted.
The police also examined DV (44), who was found in possession of a handmade cigarette containing a plant-like substance resembling marijuana.
The prosecutor is expected to provide further clarification regarding the classification of the offense in this instance.
“Police have submitted a criminal complaint against JS (45) on suspicion of facilitating narcotic consumption, affecting two individuals,” stated the police report.
According to their findings, two handmade cigarettes with marijuana and one PVC wrapping containing a dark green substance resembling marijuana were discovered at JS’s residence.
“Additionally, a criminal complaint has been filed with the prosecutor’s office against DK (23) on suspicion of enabling the consumption of narcotic drugs by providing marijuana to others for use,” stated the police.
