Primorac Claims Victory at Renowned Tournament in Belgrade

Water polo athletes from Primorje are in intensive training for the upcoming season, where they are set to compete in the Champions League, local tournaments, and the regional Premier League. With just two weeks remaining before the season kicks off, their performance is showing promising signs.

Kotor triumphed at the “Vlaho Bato Orlić” memorial tournament, overcoming Novi Belgrade in a thrilling final, with a score of 21:20 after a tied match at 10:10 during regulation time.

Following an early lead of 3:0 for our champions, the scoring continued fluidly. Dušan Matković, who has rejoined the Primorka team, struggled with his accuracy in the penalty shootouts.

During the match, Vjekoslav Pasković’s squad saw contributions from Šušiašvili, Mršić, and Vico, who each netted two goals, alongside Matković, Brkić, Ćetković, and Roganović, who also added to the scoreboard.

In addition to their victory over Novi Belgrade, the Primorje water polo team also secured wins against Vašaš (15:11), Vukovo (21:7), and Špandau (12:11) throughout the tournament.

Spandau claimed third place in the tournament with a close victory of 10:9.

The standout performer for the Hungarian team was Montenegrin star Bogdan Đurđić, who was the tournament’s leading scorer.
