The Golden State Warriors, known for their “warrior” dynasty, are looking to trade for Nikola Vucevic. The Montenegrin center for the Chicago Bulls has been performing exceptionally well at the start of this season in the NBA.
According to “The Athletic,” the Warriors are serious about their intentions and have begun the process to make a trade.
The Warriors possess the assets necessary to acquire Vucevic and are prepared to take on his annual salary of over $20 million.
This season, Vucevic is averaging a double-double with 20.3 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.
He ranks among the top five players in the NBA in three-point shooting percentage this season.
While the Phoenix Suns are also interested in Vucevic, they face salary cap issues and would need to offload some players, such as Jusuf Nurkic, along with draft picks.
Additionally, Vucevic has a guaranteed salary of $21 million for next year.
Chicago is open to trading with Golden State, as they did not receive any draft picks in the previous exchange involving Alex Caruso and Josh Giddy with Oklahoma.
