Involvement of the Real Estate Administration in the Regional Conference
On Thursday, March 13, 2025, Marko Bulatović MSc, the director of the Real Estate Administration, along with his colleagues, participated in a regional conference titled “Seizure of property benefits obtained through criminal activity – application of national and international standards and court practice.” This event was organized by the Supreme State Prosecutor’s Office of Montenegro and the AIRE Center, with support from the British Embassy.
The opening session featured remarks from key figures including Milan Marković, the Supreme State Prosecutor of Montenegro; Biljana Braithwaite, Director of the Program for the Western Balkans; and Dawn McKen, the British Ambassador to Montenegro.
Following the opening, the conference included two panels: the first focused on “Financial investigations – standards and practice,” and the second on “Division of permanently confiscated property benefits.” Representatives from the Ministry of Justice of Montenegro, the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Special State Prosecutor’s Office of Montenegro, the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, and others contributed to the discussions.
More than 70 participants from Montenegro and the surrounding region attended the conference, marking a significant opportunity for the exchange of knowledge and experience in this area, all aimed at enhancing cooperation regarding the confiscation of illegally obtained property.
