Milatović Violated the Law by Failing to Report PES Income

The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, has violated the Law on the Prevention of Corruption for 2023 by failing to report income received from a Service Contract totaling 2.093 euros.
According to the decision by the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (ASK), Milatović did not provide accurate and complete information in his reports.
The agency initiated this procedure of its own accord, following a referral from the State Audit Initiative (DRI) dating back to October of the previous year.
As noted in the agency’s decision, Milatović earned this income in PEurope is turning now.
“The Agency made several attempts to summon the appointed individual for a written response on the following dates: 04.11.2024, 25.11.2024, and an urgent notice on 19.12.2024, to which the appointed individual did not reply. The Agency also communicated the findings of the investigation to the public official on 03.02.2025, 20.01.2025, and 30.01.2025, with no response. To ascertain the facts and circumstances essential for making an appropriate and lawful decision, the Agency proceeded with the investigation and presented evidence,” states the Agency’s decision.
