Selmanović Appointed to the Prosecutorial Council

Today, Prosecutor Armin Selmanović has been elected as a member of the Prosecutorial Council representing the state prosecutors from the Supreme State Prosecutor’s Office (SPO).

The State Prosecutor’s Office announced that this decision was made during the Conference of State Prosecutors held in Podgorica.

The decision was made in accordance with the suggestion from the Prosecutorial Council to elect Filip Jovović as the President of the Commission for the Code of Ethics of State Prosecutors, with Stevan Brajušković appointed as his deputy.

“According to the Rules of Procedure of the Commission for the Code of Ethics for State Prosecutors, the president and deputy of the Commission must be members of the Prosecutorial Council who are not state prosecutors,” stated the VDP in a press release.

The Commission for the Code of Ethics comprises a president and two members, each of whom has a deputy.

In a prior extended session, the Supreme State Prosecutor’s Office elected State Prosecutor Tatjana Begović and State Prosecutor Duško Milanović as members of the Commission, with State Prosecutors Ana Kalezić and Maja Janković serving as their deputies.

The State Prosecutor’s Office further indicated that the rules of procedure for the Conference of State Prosecutors were adopted during today’s event.
