Regional Collaboration Enhances Development and Achieves Success on the European Path
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimović held a meeting today with the Minister without Portfolio of the Republic of Serbia responsible for reconciliation, regional cooperation, and social stability, Usame Zukorlić.
The discussion centered on enhancing bilateral relations, with a particular focus on opportunities in the economy, tourism, and both rail and road transport sectors.
Ibrahimović stressed that there is no alternative to the European integration of the Western Balkans, noting that strengthening regional security and stability is essential for further prosperity. He underscored the significance of ongoing reform processes tied to the European agenda, which positively influence regional development, and confirmed Montenegro’s readiness, as a leader in EU accession negotiations, to assist neighboring countries on their journey to the European Union.
Minister Zukorlić pointed out the considerable potential to improve cooperation and connectivity between the two nations. He notably emphasized the role of infrastructure projects in strengthening economic links, facilitating interactions among businesses and local communities, and enhancing collaboration in the tourism and economic sectors.
The two officials also exchanged perspectives on identity matters and the necessity of protecting and promoting minority rights. Both sides expressed their dedication to maintaining a dialogue on all critical issues within the bilateral agenda.
