The Constitutional Court to Release Monthly Summaries of Key Decisions
The Constitutional Court has commenced the publication of monthly summaries highlighting the most significant rulings. The intention behind this initiative is to make key aspects of the court’s decisions more accessible to both the professional community and the general public.
“Recognizing that the Constitutional Court of Montenegro operates as a distinct entity at the intersection of the separation of powers, we aim to maintain a high degree of readiness in achieving outcomes that support the rule of law on our journey towards EU integration. Therefore, we would like to inform the public that we have initiated the preparation of summaries for the most critical decisions, with the objective, among others, of making essential elements of the court’s rulings more understandable to a broader audience,” the statement notes.
The inaugural summary includes the most pertinent recent decisions made by the Constitutional Court.
“We believe that upholding public confidence in the operations of the Constitutional Court and safeguarding its independence from other branches of government is crucial for honoring the fundamental principles of the rule of law. Speed, efficiency, transparency, and consistency remain essential imperatives in the court’s operations,” the institution asserted.
