I Am Thankful for Montenegro

This morning, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić paid a visit to the esteemed Croatian skier Ivica Kostelić at the General Hospital in Bar. This visit followed Kostelić’s rescue near the mouth of the Bojana River last night, thanks to the quick actions of the Montenegrin Navy.

The four-time Olympic medalist and World Cup champion conveyed his heartfelt thanks to the Armed Forces of Montenegro for their efficient response, as well as to the medical staff, highlighting that he came through a highly precarious and life-threatening situation unscathed.

During the past few days, Kostelić had been in the Prokletije mountains, showcasing the natural beauty of this Montenegro region—an initiative for which Prime Minister Spajić also expressed his gratitude.

We sincerely appreciate your commitment to visiting and promoting Prokletije and Montenegro. We are delighted that the rescue mission concluded successfully. You will always be welcome in Montenegro, stated Spajić.

I depart Montenegro with nothing but cherished memories, thanks to the courageous rescue from the turbulent waters near Ada Bojana, remarked Kostelić.

Both Spajić and Kostelić commended the Montenegrin rescue services, whose rapid and professional reaction confirmed their exceptional level of skill and effectiveness in emergency situations.
