Drunk driving in the center of Budva, sentenced to 16 days in prison

Drunk Driver in Downtown Budva Receives 16-Day Jail Sentence

A 47-year-old Serbian citizen, ZM, residing in Budva, has been sentenced to 16 days in prison for driving in the city center while intoxicated, with a blood alcohol content of 2.24 per mille.

In addition to the prison time, the President of the Budva Minor Offences Court, Marko Đukanović, has also imposed a four-month driving ban on him for category B motor vehicles.

The incident occurred last night at approximately 21:30 when a police patrol stopped the defendant on Mainski Put Street while he was driving an Audi.

A breath analysis confirmed that he was under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration of 2.24 per mille. Following this, he was arrested and brought to the Misdemeanor Court this morning facing misdemeanor charges.
