The water polo players of Jadran M:tela faced a defeat against Marseille tonight, with a score of 13:11 in the opening round of Group C in the Champions League.

For three quarters, Jadran performed as a formidable opponent but couldn’t manage to pull off an upset.

Tomas Verna was the standout player for the French team, netting four goals, while his teammates Andrija Prlainović and Ugo Kruzija contributed two goals each.

On Jadran’s side, Dmitri Holod emerged as the top scorer with three goals, and Matija Sladović along with Danilo Stupar scored twice each.

In their next match, Jadran will welcome Barceloneta.
